Starting from piazza al Tiglio and proceeding southeast along the ancient road that in the Middle Ages started from the castle to lead towards the marsh, you can reach the localities of Belvedere, Puoi, and Villunghi which open onto the Portogruaro-Udine highway (old 'strada ferrata', because it was built on the route of a planned railway). The rural paths found in this area are suggestive and evoke the peasant civilization of the past, with cultivated fields, thickets, and tree-lined roads.
Palazzo Soppelsa is a 19th-century manor house that retains some outbuildings once intended for servants, farmers, tools, machines, and stored products of the rural settlement.
